Re-homing

• Are you worried about your llama or a llama in your locality (male or female)?We can offer advice, free of charge; just give us a call
• Does your llama live alone and you want to re-home him elsewhere, rather than commit to getting another as company?
• Have your own personal circumstances changed whereby your llama needs to be re-homed? Reluctantly you might want to find your llama/s a new home.We can make an arrangement to re-home your llama, subject to travelling expenses
• Are you worried about the behaviour of your llama? We risk-assess each individual llama and try to make the right decision for the animal.
• Do you know of a llama that has been abandoned or mistreated, in exceptional circumstances we can link up with the RSPCA to help rescue.

We offer sensible ´herd management´ advice and on many occasions this has led to a few changes being made in the llama´s current home to allow it to stay with its owners. In special circumstances we can arrange a farm visit, to give hands-on advice.

We can find homes for llamas, guanacos and alpacas. Males may stay with us but we can find good homes for females. We don´t keep females because they would upset the status quo amongst our males. We can usually make arrangements to collect the llamas but obviously, we would need to charge for our travelling expenses.

We can usually offer the llama a good home. Unfortunately, this can´t be a promise; a dangerous animal is a dangerous animal and should never be put into a situation where a person´s life would be endangered. Here at Hafod Wenog Farm, we like to give the difficult llama the benefit of the doubt. Everybody deserves a second chance and that includes llamas if they can be encouraged to behave in an acceptable manner.
